Storage InstructionsFor H. Upmann Coronas Major store your cigars in a well seasoned humidor to preserve flavour and texture. Aim for a stable relative humidity of 68 to 70% and a temperature of 65 to 70ºF (18 to 21ºC). Keep the cigars in their original box inside the humidor where possible to help maintain even humidity and to protect the wrapper. Use a reliable hygrometer and check it regularly to avoid wide swings in humidity. Refill your humidor’s humidification system with distilled water or a recommended humidification solution rather than tap water. Protect the cigars from direct sunlight and strong odours and avoid frequent temperature changes which can cause the wrapper to crack or result in uneven burning. For darker or heavier wrappers you may prefer a slightly higher humidity near 70 to 72% to keep oils balanced.Care TipsHandle H. Upmann Coronas Major gently to preserve the delicate wrapper. Pick up cigars by the body or by the band and avoid pinching or excessive rolling between your fingers. When you cut, use a sharp guillotine or a punch for a clean draw and toast the foot evenly before lighting to avoid charring the wrapper. Allow newly purchased cigars to acclimatise in your humidor for at least two weeks for the flavours to settle. If you have transported them or they were in a dry environment allow 24 to 72 hours for recovery before smoking. These cigars can respond very well to ageing in a stable humidor for several months to a few years if you prefer more integrated and mellowed flavour, but they are also enjoyable when fresh after proper acclimatisation. Rotate the box occasionally and monitor humidity so each stick rests under consistent conditions for the best smoke every time.
